Kelsey Morris is named Level 10 National Vault Champion and competed in Japan as a member of the Region 2 International Team. Congrats Kelsey! Kelsey has also been invited to attend a clinic held at the National Training Center @ the Karoyli Ranch in October 2008.

LEGA's Level 10 Team of Kelsey Morris and Kailie P. return home from the Region 2 Championships that took place in Spokane, WA winning Gold. Kelsey Morris won the Regional AA Title in the JR A Division posting an All Around score of (38.075). She was also named the Regional Vault Champion (9.725) & Regional Floor Champion (9.625) and won the Silver medal on Beam (9.375) and took home Bronze on Bars (9.35). Kailie competed in the JR C division and took home a Silver medal in the All Around with a score of (37.125). She returns home as the Regional Floor Champion, with a score of (9.55) winning Gold. Kailie also won Silver on the Beam and Vault with a score of (9.35) on both events. Both girls will be competing later this month at the National Championships in Kissamme, FL. Kelsey scores earned her a spot on the Region 2 International Team that will compete in July in Japan. LEGA is extremely proud of their Level 10's! Congrats again girls!

LEGA's Level 9 team comprised of Madison Podlucky, Lily Gaffney, Carah Solemsaas & Makayla Betz also put on great performances at the Regional Championships. In the Jr D Division, Madison Podlucky won 4 Gold medals and captured the Regional All Around Title with a score of 37.825; she also is the Regional Vault Champion (9.475), Regional Beam Champion (9.650) and Regional Floor Champion (9.600). In the Junior C Division, Lily Gaffney returned home with 2 Golds, a Silver, and a Bronze medal. She was named Regional Beam Champion (9.525), & Regional Floor Champion (9.475). She won Silver in the all-around, with a (37.400) and won Bronze on the Bars with a (9.2). In the Junior A Division, Carah Solemsaas won Bronze in the all-around (36.900); Silver on vault (9.175) and Silver on floor (9.450). In the Junior B Division, Makayla Betz Won Bronze in the all-around (36.800); Silver on bars (9.425), fifth on beam (9.300) and fifth on floor (9.200). All 4 girls qualified to the Level 9 Western Championships to be held in St. Louis, MO on May 9-12th. Good Luck to all the girls.

The LEGA teams competed in the Emerald Challenge in Eugene, Oregon. We took home first place trophies for levels 4,5 6, 8, 9 & 10!!! This was our last meet for the Optional Teams before State which will be in Auburn March 28-31. The Optional Teams will then compete at Regionals, hopefully with a strong LEGA showing! LEGA Teams compete in Seattle at the Harley Davidson Battle in Seattle hosted by Gymnastics East. The Level 4, 5 & 8 teams took home 1st Place Team Titles, the Level 6&9 Teams came in 2nd, while the Level 7 & 10 Teams finished 3rd. All in all it was a great meet with many gymnasts finishing 1st in the AA in their age groups and levels.

LEGA Teams take 1st place in Levels: 4,5,6,7,8, & 9 at the Great West Gym Fest held in Couer d'Alene, ID on Feb 22-24, 2008. Great job girls!
